I Boney M. sono un popolare gruppo musicale disco, europop ed eurodance formato da quattro cantanti e ballerini caraibici diretti dal produttore discografico tedesco Frank Farian (vero nome Franz Reuther) che, non di rado, forniva la sua voce per alcuni brani.
Raggiunsero l'apice della popolarità nella seconda metà degli anni settanta, diventando, insieme agli ABBA, il gruppo più famoso del momento in Europa, Africa, Asia meridionale, Sud-est asiatico e nei Paesi arabi.
Il loro successo si deve alla popolarità, che permase negli anni, di molti pezzi firmati dalla band, come Daddy Cool, Ma Baker, Sunny, Rasputin, Rivers of Babylon.
